Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of Matcha Timer at matchatimer.com. They are deliberately short. By using the app you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it.
What Matcha Timer is
Matcha Timer is a free focus and Pomodoro timer, run as an independent project from Poland. It is offered as a convenience, not as a professional or safety-critical service, and it is not medical, mental health or productivity advice.
Using it
You may use the app for your own personal or work focus sessions, at no charge. Please do not:
- try to break, overload, or probe the app or the servers behind it;
- use it to store or transmit unlawful content, or anyone else's personal data;
- scrape it, resell access to it, or present it as your own product;
- work around the technical limits that keep it running for everyone, such as the rate limit on bug reports.
Your account
An account is optional — the timer works fully without one. If you create one by signing in with Google, you are responsible for keeping that Google account secure, and you confirm you are 16 or older. Keep the details you give us accurate.
The focus sessions and tasks you record stay yours. We store them so they follow you between devices, and we do not use them for anything else. Ask us and we will export or delete them; deleting your account removes them. How all of this is handled is set out in our Privacy & Data notice, which forms part of these terms.
Availability, and no guarantees
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". It is a free service maintained by one person: it may be offline, change, lose features, or stop entirely without notice, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that anything you record will be preserved. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost time, lost work, lost data, missed deadlines, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you use the app as a consumer, your mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence are unaffected.
Ending it
You can stop using the app at any time, and ask us to delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used in the ways listed under "Using it" above, or where we are required to by law.
Changes
These terms may change as the app does. The current version always lives at this address, with the date below. If a change materially affects accounts, we will say so in the app. Continuing to use Matcha Timer after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by Polish law, and disputes fall to the Polish courts — again, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live. Questions, complaints and requests all go to privacy@matchatimer.com.
